Lake Mills PD Reactivates its Chaplain Program…  The Lake Mills PD is reactivating its Chaplain’s Program, which has since gone to pass.  LMPD welcomes Pastor Craig Legel (aka Pastor Craig) of the Real Hope Church (in Lake Mills) as the department’s newly designated Chaplain.  Pastor Craig will be on-call to assist officers in helping citizens deal with life crisis issues, such as accompanying officers on death notifications, providing support and counseling for victims in need and being a humanitarian resource to help citizens deal with the impacts of crime and other stressors related to matters involving a police response.  In addition, Pastor Craig will be available to help officers deal with the stresses of the job, by providing support such as counseling and lending an ear when needed.  “I’m very grateful to have Pastor Craig on-board as the police department’s new chaplain and couldn’t ask for a more personable, caring and capable individual to help our citizens and officers deal with the personal crisis that crime creates in everyone’s already stressful lives.”  Chief Pat Matuszewski    ...
